MEET RYLEE

Rylee is a visual artist based in Calgary, Alberta, whose work explores escapism, connection, and the beauty found in the world around us.

Inspired by nature and everyday moments, she blends realism with expressive, imaginative elements to create contemporary work that captures light, colour, movement, and emotion.

Her practice spans original fine art, private commissions, live painting, and large-scale mural work. Rylee’s work has been exhibited and featured through partnerships with The Westin Calgary, FivePoint Galleries, Canopy Studios, Night Light Festival, Gallery Underground, UNA Pizza, and Cold Garden.

At the heart of her practice is a simple intention: to create work that reminds people of the beauty that surrounds us and offers, even for a moment, somewhere to escape into.

  • "- No one could have told me how much people would gravitate to a different type of "Photo Booth". People were excited to have their pictures taken and see themselves brought to life. What a great idea and forever memory for everyone. You even went out of your way to find my elderly parents inside the ballroom to make sure they got in on the fun as well. Your talent and most magnetic personality shone through and you added such an amazing touch to the most beautiful day with your fantastic artwork. "

  • "What a wonderful surprise. Your painting of Bruno is nothing short of truly amazing. You've captured his spirit as no one else could have. And you did all this without ever meeting him. Your talent is remarkable, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your portrait of my best friend, Bruno. Thank you, thank you, thank you."

  • "We had the honour of having Rylee create live guest portraits at our wedding. She is such a delight to have around, and our guests have not stopped talking about their portraits. Many have told us that they will be framing theirs, and that they absolutely loved the experience. We opted to forego handing out wedding favours, with the intention of Rylee's artwork being a memento of the day; and it was the best decision we made! Rylee is so truly talented, and has captured our special day for our guests in such a timeless, unique way. I will absolutely be recommending Rylee to anyone I know who is getting married or having an upcoming event. Her personality lights up a room and her talent is remarkable. It was such a pleasure to have her as part of our day. Thank you Rylee!!"
